Home Inventory Manager Security

Security should always be a concern when processing any information over the internet. JKP Designs is committed to the highest level of security and customer satisfaction. The HOME INVENTORY MANAGER is password protected and all browser based data transfer including image uploading use 128 bit SSL encryption by default.

The 60,000 square foot data center facility that houses the HOME INVENTORY MANAGER servers sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. The HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with nine managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 500 smoke detectors. Access to the data center is protected by Simplex security badge entry/exit on all doors to the facility.

The HOME INVENTORY MANAGER servers are backed up nightly to the SAVVIS Internet Data Centers in Irvine, CA and El Segundo, CA. The Data Centers provides the physical environment necessary to keep the servers up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These world-class facilities are custom designed with raised floors, HVAC temperature control systems with separate cooling zones, and seismically braced racks. They offer the widest range of physical security features, including state-of-the-art smoke detection and fire suppression systems, motion sensors, and 24x7 secured access, as well as video camera surveillance and security breach alarms.
